The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring certified arborists professional foresters horticulturalists natural resource specialists environmental scientists GIS technicians plant and outdoor enthusiasts to join our workforce.
Job Duties
- Work with Austin Energy to address its vegetation clearance needs
- Inspect utility right of ways and identify vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations
- Collect and enter data on handheld devices follow maps and use GPS navigation
- Communicate with landowners regarding work on or near their property
- Assess all terrain habitat and environmental conditions
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of utility vegetation management experience or similar experience in a related field (tree work industry landscape professional)
- Knowledge of local tree species and growth rates
- Ability to hike and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Google Drive ArcGIS maps and electronic work planning software
- International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist
- Texas Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide Applicators License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle on rough roads
