If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in we have an exciting opportunity for a Field Welder/Fitter or Welder or Fitter and Helpers for our Carolina Energy Weld Team.
Journeyman Welders and Fitters Day-to-Day:
- Fabrication and installation of pipe duct structural steel pipe and duct supports.
- Pipefitting equipment installation piping flange and pipe support assembly rigging.
- Helpers & Firewatch will be support functions to the welder team.
- Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of pipes and mechanical systems.
- Measure cut and fabricate pipes and other materials according to project requirements.
- Perform welding and fitting tasks using various techniques (e.g. TIG MIG stick welding) to join pipes and other components.
- Conduct quality control pre/post weld inspections to ensure the integrity and accuracy of welds and fittings meet CES and code acceptance criteria. (Skill of the craft)
- Install and assemble pipes valves fittings and other mechanical components according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with other team members including foreman and/or supervisor project managers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Always adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Helpers Day-to-Day:
- Reporting to job site supervision for various support roles daily
- Firewatch attendant
- Confined space attendant
- General housekeeping activities
- Material loading
- Material and tooling issuance
- Support for scaffolding and material handling groups.
- Ability to retain training and pass dynamic learning activities.
As a successful candidate you will bring the following to the team:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 Plus Years of Welding Fitting or both Fitter and Welder positions with certs.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in both field and shop environments.
- Must Pass the local plant.
- Nuclear Clearance Pass Background Check
- Medical & Fitness for Duty
- Hire-on weld test
