SUMMARY:
The person in this position administratively supports the Field HR Managers and the Corporate Benefits team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform data entry and verification in the HRIS system updating various items such as address changes data input for new hires terminations training benefit changes deductions etc.
- Assemble reports compile data and summarize records/reports manually or using basic computer programs; be responsible for maintenance of the HRIS and payroll systems.
- Provide clerical support related to employee benefit communications.
- Assist employees with benefit questions completing forms and other similar situations as they arise.
- Respond within twenty-four hours to routine questions from the field.
- Assist if needed in processing requests to assist in the administration of required regulatory policies such as FMLA FELA COBRA and company-administered policies.
- Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with regulations pertaining to regulatory policies such as FMLA FELA and COBRA.
- One to two years of experience in the field of human resources.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel Word and Outlook).
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
