Doctoral degree from a recognized accredited program in Clinical Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners (NSBEP)
Minimum of two years related clinical experience
Advanced psychotherapy skills and training in ISTDP
Competency in the use of psychological testing in the area of adult mental health
Demonstrated experience conducting both individual and group psychotherapy including brief therapy
Demonstrated experience in development of group psychotherapy programs
Knowledge and understanding of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
Ability to reach a joint formulation with the client and family
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team setting
Previous experience working in adult outpatient mental health preferred
Demonstrated ability and comfort in working flexibly and creatively to provide services
Awareness of local community resources and agencies would be considered an asset
Valid Nova Scotia Drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset
