Idaho Power located in vibrant Boise Idaho is looking for an Inventory Specialist to join our Corporate Services and Communications team. Its an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. While this position is based at Idaho Powers Boise location we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote with proficiency in role.
What does an Inventory Specialist do for us
This individual works independently to administer and manage the Asset Suite Materials Catalog. They develop the guidelines utilized in maintaining the integrity of the information in the catalog. They research and evaluate data in making key decisions on the operation and function of the catalog. They promote to users and other stakeholders the importance of maintaining a clean and accurate inventory catalog to help optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of inventory control processes. This position is a control performer for SOX controls relating to the materials catalog including changes to average unit price and setting a catalog ID to ready status. The Inventory Specialist supports Inventory Analysts Material Services Procurement and other internal business partners. Additionally the Inventory Specialist coordinates transfers out of the Distribution Center to satellite facilities by reviewing modifying scheduling and printing for delivery in accordance with the truck schedule.

This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment fine motor skills including typing on the computer dialing phones filing paper and working in close proximity to other people.
