Job Description

The Employee Health Advanced Practice Provider provides high-quality efficient and cost-effective care for employees acute healthcare needs. Key responsibilities include obtaining medical histories performing physical exams diagnosing and treating acute conditions such as infections and injuries and managing chronic illnesses like hypertension through testing and monitoring. Also delivers preventive care promotes healthy behaviors and self-care through education and counseling and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.

Requirements:

  • Requires Masters degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Certification or a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies/Physician Assistant Certification
  • Three years of experience in a physicians office urgent care or comparable outpatient setting
  • Advance Practice licensure and Prescriptive Authority through the appropriate governing board

Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrates independence competency and accuracy in all work tasks including those directly and indirectly related to patient care; consistently and competently provides ongoing healthcare services in conformance with established standards of care and administrative policies and procedures; collaborates as needed with Medical Director Employee Health and other healthcare providers and physicians.
  • Independently develops and implements an initial plan of differential diagnosis and management of presenting problems - appropriately collaborates with physician as needed.
  • Performs or orders necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as indicated for identification and management of healthcare conditions.
  • Maintains current knowledge concerning principles and practice of primary healthcare of adults and children through current literature journal subscriptions attendance at workshops and seminars membership in professional organizations and licensure maintenance.
  • Creates and maintains accurate records appropriate legal documents and other reports of patient care consistent with the requirements of local state and/or federal regulatory agencies.

Schedule:

Part-Time; Days

Wednesday - Friday

No weekends or holidays

Pay Range:

Hourly; Non-Exempt Position

$44.64 - $73.00
