Criminal Justice & Forensics Investigation
The Department of Criminal Justice & Forensics Investigation within Jacksonville State Universitys College of Social and Behavioral Sciences is seeking an adjunct faculty member to instruct in-person hybrid and/or 100% online courses.
Department Information
The Department of Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation offers two undergraduate degrees: 1. Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and 2. A Bachelor of Science in Forensic Investigation. A bachelors degree in criminal justice merges liberal arts and professional studies into a well-balanced curriculum. The core courses provide a basic understanding of the nature of crime and societys reaction to crime as well as an in-depth explanation of the various components within the U.S. criminal justice system. Students will acquire knowledge and skills for future employment that will also serve as a basis for advanced studies. Whereas a bachelors degree in forensic investigation prepares our students for careers in local state and federal agencies in either an investigative or laboratory capacity. We expose our students to the latest techniques which are used by law enforcement agencies or forensic service providers. They will learn the important facets of crime scene investigation or laboratory analysis depending on which track they select in the program. They will also acquire knowledge and skills for future employment that will also serve as a basis for advanced studies.
