Bobcat Buddy

Job Description
Chillicothe campus seeks five (5) enthusiastic and engaging students to serve as Bobcat Buddies for Bobcat Blitz events prior to fall and spring semesters. Bobcat Buddies will serve as a peer leaders primary facilitators and resources during Bobcat Blitz events the capstone to a new Chillicothe campus students orientation experience. Bobcat Buddies will welcome their groups of around 20 students to campus facilitate ice breakers explain campus resources share success tips and serve as a guide for the remainder of the Blitz. Bobcat Buddies are the core of the Bobcat Blitz experience for new students. Job Duties : Lead a group of new students through the Bobcat Blitz experience. Facilitate ice breakers and team builder activities. Give engaging campus tours. Assist students through college technology processes. Answer questions from students and guests. Must be able to think quickly make decisions and answer questions with accuracy. Training. Bobcat Buddies will attend twenty hours of training in July. This training is mandatory and absences are not permitted. Training will include: OHIO history policies and procedures campus resources ice breaker technology and more. Practice: Bobcat Buddies will participate in a leadership capacity at Summer Bridge.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications. Successful Bobcat Buddies must have: Completed at least one full year as a degree seeking student at Ohio University Chillicothe . At least a 2.75 cumulative GPA or higher. Leadership skills and ability to lead a group of peers. Public speaking skills including the ability to address both small and large groups. An understanding of Ohio University Chillicothe policies and procedures or an enthusiasm to learn. A love for Ohio University Chillicothe. Bobcat Buddies are expected to attend the following: Mandatory Training: July 21 July 22 July 24 and July 25 from 10am-3pm each day for a total of 20 hours of training. Lunch is provided each day. Summer Bridge Leadership: Twelve hours between July 29 and August 1. Specific hours to be determined during training. Fall Bobcat Blitz Days: August 20 and 21 from 9am-5pm for 18 hours of Bobcat Blitz. Lunch is provided each day. Training refresher: Two hours in January before spring semester begins. Date TBD . Spring Bobcat Blitz: Four hours in one block the week before spring semester begins. Date TBD
