Under general direction leads and provides technical direction in the design implementation and scaling of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system architecture and infrastructure; provides technical leadership during major system transformations; and leads technical design sessions.

The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following

Knowledge:
  • ERP application architecture environment setup and configuration
  • Java Virtual Machine Java Application Javascript Oracle and SQL Database
  • Middleware platforms such as JBoss Oracle Middleware and emerging technologies
  • Query Tools such as Oracle PL/SQL Developer
  • Methods used in database management to organize access test and assess data
  • Reading writing and troubleshooting Java code
  • Bash and Microsoft PowerShell scripting
  • Oracle PL SQL

Required Education and ExperienceEducation:An associates degree or equivalent number of college units (60 semester units or 90 quarter units) including at least 15 semester or 22.5 quarter units in programming relational databases or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Experience:Five years of experience testing troubleshooting and supporting ERP applications in one or more of the following functional areas: payroll human resources/human capital and/or finance including at least one year in a lead technical role.

Additional Requirements:A bachelors degree in computer science information technology business administration or other closely related field is preferred. A valid California drivers license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites may be required.

Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.

Selection ProcessCandidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of Performance Exam and Interview.
