Instruct music comprehension/appreciation skills harmony and explorations ininstrumental and choral music.9. Plan all lessons following the BPS curriculum guidelines and update the curriculum asneeded.10. Schedule required maintenance of school equipment/instruments.11. Maintain care/responsibility for school-owned music musical instruments andequipment to prevent loss or abuse.12. Convey information on rehearsals and performances.13. Collaborate in setting calendar dates for all concerts and performances.14. Evaluate student performance and growth in knowledge and understanding and prepareregular report cards.15. Identify student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in helpingstudents solve health attitude and learning problems including Individual EducationPrograms.16. Maintain thorough records for each student.17. Attend staff development programs curriculum development meetings and otherprofessional activities.18. Implement and support changes to a standards-based curriculum instructionassessments and school structures that align to the extent practicable to studentscollege and career interests 21st Century Skills and work habits needed for success in aglobal economy.19. Collaboratively create and implement performance tasks formative and summativeassessments aligned to the Common Core and 21st century skills and task validationand calibration.20. Responsible for meeting all EEP requirements including syllabus grades andcommunicating with the Rhode Island College EED Coordinator.22. Foster partnerships among parents educators businesses higher education andcommunities that support learning in and out of school dual enrollment onlinelearning and externships.24.
