Job Description
OVERVIEW
Archer Western Construction-Snell JVis currently seeking an Instrument Personfor the Atlanta Region GDOT I-285 East Interchange Project inDecatur GA.
The Instrument Persons primary function to operate surveying instruments and mark reference points for grades; may oversee Rodman.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Sets up adjusts and operates surveying equipment
- May assist Surveyor in establishing elevation points and other field layout
- Works with plans to establish points and grades for construction
- May perform other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of construction experience Preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing bending kneeling or sitting for long periods
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

RESPONSABILIDADES
Las responsabilidades incluyen pero no se limitan a:
- Configura ajusta y opera equipos de topografa
- Puede ayudar al topgrafo a establecer puntos de elevacin y otros diseos de campo
- Trabaja con planes para establecer puntos y pendientes para la construccin
- Puede realizar otras tareas relacionadas segn sea necesario
CALIFICACIONES
- 3 aos de experiencia verificable preferida
- Debe poder levantar hasta 50 libras; puede ser requerido para trabajar en varias condiciones climticas
- Requiere la capacidad de cumplir con todas las polticas y procedimientos de seguridad; comunicarse efectivamente con compaeros de trabajo y supervisores para asegurar que los proyectos se completen adecuadamente
- Poseer una fuerte tica de trabajo y ganas de aprender
- Requiere buena destreza manual; puede estar de pie agachado arrodillado o sentado durante largos perodos
- Debe poder pasar una prueda de consumo de drogas previa al empleo
