We are seekinga Part Time Smoke Free Advisor to join our team. As part of this innovative team youll help design and deliver a service that empowers people to quit smoking tailoring support to meet their unique needs. Your contributions will be instrumental in fostering healthier lifestyles improving public health outcomes and creating a smoke-free future for Croydon. These interventions will be delivered either face-to-face within the community or remotely and can be tailored for individuals or delivered in a group setting depending on their needs.

Hours of Work

This is a part-time position offering 18 hours per week. We understand the importance of flexibility and we are committed to creating a work schedule that supports a healthy work-life balance while meeting the needs of the service.

Salary

The position offers a competitive part-time salary within the range of 12233.49 to 13055.44 depending on your experience. This reflects the importance of the role and the value we place on your contributions to the team and service.

Additional Allowance

As this role is based in an area eligible for Outer London Weighting you will receive an additional allowance of 1097.86 enhancing your overall salary (Based on 18.75 hours per week).

About the Role

In this role you will play a key part in delivering a high-quality stop smoking service helping individuals take steps toward healthier lives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Promoting the benefits of a smoke-free life and raising awareness of stop smoking services through community engagement and events.
• Work within NRT Champix and E-cigarette protocols.
• Provide Very Brief Advice training to health and social care professionals and support pharmacists with nicotine replacement therapy and behavior support.
• Engage with the community to raise awareness of smoking impacts and encourage referrals.

About You
Were looking for someone with:

• Experience working in health and/or social care settings.
• Complete assessments and deliver interventions matched to identified needs
• Knowledge of the harmful effects of smoking and an understanding of smoking cessation policies and treatments.
• Provide behavioural support using motivational interviewing techniques and the dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Products
• A commitment to providing high-quality person-centered services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic recording systems.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
