The Role

Contributes to the overall success of CIDA Operations & Strategy ensuring specific individual goals plans initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the teams business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations internal policies and procedures.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed- Wed love to work with you if you have:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships systems and knowledge.
  • Manage and ensure the successful delivery of complex Analytics projects involving multiple teams from different groups across the bank as well as external vendors when required
  • Provides subject matter expert (SME) on best practices for the project team to establish a good adoption to agile methodology
  • Drive team effectiveness by identifying and removing impediments supporting the team and encouraging practices in accordance with agile principles
  • Demonstrates ability to develop and maintain high functioning project teams
  • Creative and flexible in working with our Technology partner to oversee their design and the timeliness of deployment of the technical solutions to resolve technology infrastructure challenges for Analytics use cases
  • Works closely with our Data Office globally & locally to assist our Data Scientists & Data Engineers to resolve any data related concerns; enable the Data Office to execute Data Governance & Management activities for the Analytics use cases.
  • Interfaces and works closely with CIDA Analytics teams Technology and Control functions (Privacy Office Compliance & Legal IS&C) to drive collaboration towards the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Drives the usage of standardized tools and processes (Confluence & JIRA) that support better structure for our Data Scientists and Data Engineers in delivering their data analysis work.
  • Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational compliance AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.


Do you have the skills & experience that will enable you to succeed in this role

  • 5-10 years experience in the financial services industry managing large complex projects that have significant IT and operational components.
  • Working familiarity with project management methodologies
  • Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering Business or related discipline
  • Scrum Master certification is an asset

Working Conditions

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
