At present Cook Forest State Park is on the lookout for a Seasonal DCNR Ranger to become part of our committed team. In this role you will oversee patrols across Cook State Park Complex employing various transportation methods such as vehicles bicycles or walking to monitor visitor activities. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of park visitors maintaining the integrity of the park environment and facilities and engaging with the public. It is crucial to present a professional image as a Park Ranger which encompasses a proper uniform effective communication skills and a thorough understanding of the park. Additionally you will assist park visitors by providing information and support particularly when office and clerical staff are unavailable including registering visitors through the reservation system during those times.
