Job Description

Job Summary: As an accountant for the North America Solutions group you will work together with the local Finance team on maintaining accuracy of the financial books under existing policies and processes coordinating with the share service accounting team. This role is also expected to partner with other function relevant players to deliver key financials analysis which will help in making the right decisions for the business.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Revenue recognition: deferral and other revenue adjustment analysis at the end of the period based on internal policies and established processes.
  • Expense analysis: end of period accruals and results analysis for the assigned functional areas.
  • Budgeting: participate in annual business plan by preparing and loading budget figures for those areas this role is responsible for. Engage with functional leaders to discuss and agree on budget figures while meeting topline targets.
  • Cost accounting: support Cost Accounting Manager during period close semi-annual cost roll Excess & Obsolete reserve calculation and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Accounting reconciliations: working together with the shared service accounting team prepare and review end of period reconciliations for the assigned accounts.
  • Fixed assets: partner with functional asset business owners to ensure financial records accuracy; review and support proper accounting for additions and disposals of FAs.

  • Critical thinking: analyze situations and evaluate information to find potential improvements. Be proactive on findings ways to materialize those.
  • Adaptability: in a fast-moving organization be ready to adjust as circumstances quickly develop.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in accounting with exposure to P&L general ledger account management results analysis and cost accounting.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Clear understanding of ERP system functionality SAP experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office especially Excel.
  • PBI reporting exposure is a plus.

Education:

  • BS/BA in accounting finance or relevant field.
