Job Description: Paraprofessional (High School 9th-12th grade Online Classroom Supervisor)
Job Summary:
A High School Online Classroom Supervisor is a paraprofessional who provides hourly support and assistance to students in a school setting. They work closely with students helping to reinforce productivity with online course assignments and providing individualized attention to students who may require additional support.
Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree or college coursework in education or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience working with students such as in a school camp or volunteer setting is preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively interacting with students teachers parents and other school staff.
- Patience and Empathy: The ability to work patiently with students of different abilities and backgrounds and to empathize with their challenges is crucial for building a positive learning environment.
- Organization and Multitasking: Paraprofessionals must be well-organized able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing needs in the classroom.
- Collaboration: A willingness to work collaboratively with teachers and other educational professionals to support student success is important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Classroom Instruction: Actively monitors students progress in online coursework and engages MTSS support systems when students are falling behind.
- Individualized Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help or have unique learning needs.
- Supervision: Monitor students who are completing online coursework during the school day to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Classroom Management: Maintain discipline and order in the classroom implementing behavior management strategies as necessary.
- Record-Keeping: Manage multiple online learning platforms as it pertains to enrolling students in course unlocking/resetting assessments generating reports maintaining accurate records of attendance and other tasks required. Assist in maintaining records of student progress attendance and other administrative tasks as required.
- Technical Proficiency: Attention to detail and consistent record-keeping is required. Familiarity with Excel is beneficial.
- Communication: Collaborate with teachers parents counselors pupil accountant and other educational professionals to provide updates on student progress and address concerns.

- This position follows the terms and benefits outlined in the Paraprofessional Agreement.
- School year position (182 days per year) eight hours per day Monday through Fridays following the academic school year calendar.
