Job Description
Position: CNA/Ward Clerk
Department: Med-Surg/ED
Hours: Full-Time (36 hours per week nights- Weekend package option available)
General Description: Provides quality nursing care to patients; implements specific procedures and programs; coordinates work within the department as well as with other departments; reports pertinent information to supervising RN; responds to inquiries or requests for information; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations. Performs a wide variety of duties relative to patient admitting clerical support supplies/inventory etc. Acts as a patient patient family member/friend and visitor greeter. As such cooperates communicates and coordinates activities at all levels within the organization. Will also be expected to function as the Ward Clerk as necessary.
Experience/Education Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of CNA courses with current CNA certification in the state of Iowa. Current BLS certification. Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Basic computer knowledge. Experience as a CNA desired.

Our services include emergency services acute care skilled nursing services laboratory radiology respiratory therapy sleep studies physical therapy occupational therapy speech therapy and surgical services. In addition we offer several specialty services including orthopedic mental health pain management podiatry oncology cardiology neurology nephrology rheumatology and urology.
We also operate two rural health clinics Audubon Family Health Care Clinic and Exira Medical Clinic. Our clinics offer complete care from newborns to senior adults by providing well child check-ups age-appropriate preventative care sports and school physicals immunizations and treatment of occasional and ongoing illnesses.
