Job Summary: This position is responsible for performing general secretarial duties preparing reports and maintaining records as required greeting and attending to the needs of visitors (staff parents and students) to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the school building.
Hiring Specifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Certification
Experience
- Five (5) years of clerical or secretarial experience preferred

Technology Requirements
- Basic computer skills (computer navigation email web browser Employee Portal)
- Intermediate computer skills (Google Suites search function student information systems basis promethean)
- High computer skills (familiarity with Education Tech Tools Informational systems specific to position)
- Ability to reach all skill levels listed if not already acquired

Job Duties:
- Performs general secretarial duties including but not limited to handling incoming/outgoing correspondence answering telephones taking messages making appointments filing preparing newsletters flyers letters invitations memos minutes agendas mailings and supervisors calendar.
- Maintains an awareness of where when and how supervisor can be reached during office hours.
- Promotes positive public relations in all daily contacts with students teachers staff parents and community members.
- Maintains accurate records and prepares reports in accordance with established district procedures including but not limited to volunteer database committee database finance and budget.
- Maintains confidentiality of all records and information.
- Distributes mail and school delivery to appropriate staff in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supervises co-op students as directed.
- Assists at work-related events sometimes during non-regularly scheduled hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
