Posted: May 29 2025 Closed: June 5 2025Employment Opportunity: Shrewsbury Public SchoolsPOSITION: General Laborers Temporary/SummerShrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for General is a temporary summer position with a tentative start date of mid-June and will last through late August 2025. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday working 30-40 hours per week and the current pay rate is $16.39-$18.04 per hour depending on experience. The 2025-2026 pay rates are to be determined pending School Committee with diverse racial cultural religious class and/or gender background and experiences are strongly encouraged to include but are not limited to:Pick and deliver furniture and supplies between schoolsMisc. other custodial duties to include outdoor landscaping organizing supplies :Valid drivers license clean driving record and vehicle available to drive oneself between schools each dayAbility to lift 75 lbs. move heavy furniture and use material handling equipment such as two-wheel dollies and desk moversMandatory pre-employment CORI and SAFIS fingerprinting screeningsMust have a cell phone for communication/coordination during daytime workAbility to use Google mail and Google sheetsMust be able to work on siteExhibits the values of Shrewsbury Public SchoolsWorks flexibly in a changing environmentThis job entails a lot of heavy is not allowed on school grounds nor in district Process:Interested candidates should submit a cover letter resume and three current professional letters of reference including one from a direct supervisor or evaluator to April Yu Assistant Finance and Operations Manager at The Shrewsbury Public Schools is an affirmative action employer ensuring that its programs and facilities are accessible to the public.
