Job Title: Cook Location: Carson City NV Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible scheduling including evenings weekends and holidays) Reports to: Executive Chef Seven Grille Compensation: Hourly based on experience Job Summary Seven Grille is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cook to join our culinary team. As part of our kitchen brigade you will contribute to the creation and execution of a refined and elevated menu that reflects the luxury dining standards of Seven Grille. Our cooks are more than just line operatorsthey are contributors to the recipe development process upholders of food quality and safety and key players in delivering memorable guest experiences. Cooks at Seven Grille are responsible for food preparation cooking and execution in alignment with defined recipes plating standards and dietary guidelines. This position requires technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and safely in a high-volume upscale kitchen environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participate in recipe development and refinement in collaboration with kitchen leadership ensuring alignment with Seven Grilles standards and seasonal offerings. Prepare and cook food according to established recipes plating guidelines and standard operating procedures. Maintain strict adherence to food safety guidelines including safe storage sanitation and labeling practices. Properly handle and accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions as communicated by servers or management. Execute daily prep lists and ensure all ingredients are prepped labeled and stored in accordance with health and safety regulations. Act as kitchen expediter when needed coordinating orders for speed quality and accuracy during busy service periods. Operate commercial-grade kitchen equipment such as flat tops combi ovens fryers charbroilers and mixers. Use commercial kitchen knives and cooking utensils with precision following proper knife safety and handling protocols. Maintain cleanliness of workstations and assist with deep cleaning tasks as scheduled. Follow FIFO (First In First Out) procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Monitor and report low inventory or equipment maintenance needs to kitchen leadership. Communicate clearly and effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service. Perform opening mid-shift or closing responsibilities as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or upscale dining environment. Working knowledge of food preparation kitchen sanitation and cooking procedures. Ability to follow recipes take direction and meet quality expectations with consistency. Strong knife skills and understanding of knife safety. Ability to operate standard commercial kitchen equipment. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible availability including nights weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with high-volume or fine dining kitchens. Knowledge of dietary needs including gluten-free vegetarian and allergen-sensitive cooking. ServSafe or other food handler certification preferred. Interest in contributing to a creative evolving menu and kitchen culture.
