A Permitting Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic for the Permitting Department is responsiblefor supporting the preparation of all applicable land use permits required forthe minerals and concentrates operations. Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically 36-40 hours a week on site.
Hybrid and 9/80 schedule if applicable
What will you do
Day to day work assignments from the supervisor and could include:
Project execution and management (including feasibility scope schedule budget safety quality contractor management etc.)
Review all aspects related to permitting projects including working with the various subject matter experts consultants legal counsel the preparation of permit applications on-site inspections and support of the Operations staff
Prepare permit applications and other written deliverables
Collaborate with Mosaics Procurement team in developing scope of works preparing requests for quotes and proposals (RFQs/RFPs) listing potential bidders conducting pre-bid meetings evaluating bids writing purchase orders etc.
Interact with various levels of personnel throughout the organization including management plant operators engineers (of various disciplines) and contractors.
Attend department meetings meetings specific to the project assignment and attend meetings with regulatory agencies while accompanied by your supervisor or other permitting staff.

What do you need for this role
Sophomore level or higher pursuing a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineer or Geology/Geotechnical Engineer.
SAP Experience Preferred
2.75 GPA or higher
1-2 years of experience volunteering working with student/school organizations or work is preferred.
Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid drivers license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete thefollowing:Post-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening background check physical functional capacity examination.
Basic computer skills are required.
Experience working in a team environment is a must.
Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.
Effective verbal communication skills is a plus.
Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
