Job Summary

The Benefits Consultant is responsible for delivering valuable benefits expertise to TriNet clients through effective consultation on benefits investment strategy open enrollment and providing benefits education during quarterly renewals and throughout the plan year.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide on demand service delivery to renewing customers by providing strategic benefits renewal guidance that is linked to their business initiatives.
  • Participate in benefits renewal activities including systems testing pre-renewal queries renewal extensions and prep work including studying plan changes renewal rates and trends
  • Deliver timely and valuable benefits consulting to clients utilizing TriNets service model templates resources and product suite in accordance with company guidelines standards and processes to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Audit and approve benefit funding changes in a timely manner.
  • Serves as an advocate to resolve client level concerns or escalate to the Sr. Benefits Consultants as needed
  • Manage benefits center of excellence by providing benefits expertise to clients and customer support colleagues via SalesForce cases and email. Case volumes may be especially high during renewals periods.
  • Present Open Enrollment meetings for clients and worksite employees; New Employee Orientations as requested
  • Partner with Sr. Benefits Consultants to develop and deliver benefits training for internal colleagues and customers as needed.
  • Expand benefits knowledge experience and capabilities by participating in professional development training and mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience - Preferred

Work Experience

  • Typically 2 years experience with client benefits set up and/or renewal process - Preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skill and strong attention to detail
  • Must have working knowledge of how benefit plans are designed and administered an understanding of benefit plans
  • Desire to deepen benefits knowledge

Work Environment

Work in clean pleasant and comfortable office setting. Position may be considered remote and require reliable and consistent internet service. The preferred location for this role is Atlanta GA and the salary range for this location is $56500.00 to $96100.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the companys discretion. The candidates final salary offer will be based on the candidates skills education work location and experience.

A candidates compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNets corporate bonus plan.
