About the Role
HeyGen is seeking a Growth Automation Intern (Community) to help us scale our global creator and ambassador ecosystem through smart systems-driven solutions. In this role youll design and implement automated workflows using tools like Zapier Make Notion and APIs to power community operations and growth campaigns. Youll work alongside the community marketing and product teams to solve real problems experiment with scalable solutions and unlock growth through technical execution.
This is a rare opportunity for someone who loves automation no-code/low-code tooling and startup experimentation and who wants to apply technical skills in a creative community-led environment.

What Youll Do
- Design and maintain automated workflows across platforms like Zapier Make Notion and our community platform Gradual to support scalable community engagement.
- Use webhooks and APIs to connect internal tools sync community data and streamline user journeys.
- Customize automations using Javascript and Python.
- Help automate logistics for community-led events ambassador communications onboarding sequences and feedback collection.
- Collaborate with community and marketing teammates to identify friction points in operations and implement workflow improvements.
- Document automation flows and train non-technical team members to operate or update them as needed.
What Success Looks Like
- Within your first 812 weeks youve replaced multiple manual community processes with automations that save the team time and improve response speed.
- Your work enables HeyGen to scale programs communications and content without adding manual overhead helping the HeyGen community scale by thousands of members.
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related technical or hybrid field
- Hands-on experience with Zapier Make or similar platforms
- Familiar with webhooks REST APIs JSON
- Comfortable with JavaScript and Python to enhance automations
- Strong communicator - able to explain technical workflows to non-technical stakeholders
- Curious self-starting and energized by solving operational puzzles and building things that scale
- Passionate about startups creators and using AI to enhance storytelling and community connection

Compensation
This is a paid internship. Compensation will be determined based on experience
Location
This role is based in-person in San Francisco. We believe that close collaboration and creativity happen best when were in the same room.
