Job Description
This role provides essential supervision direction coordination and support to students (and Faculty) in various areas of the schools vast campus in order to continuously promote a safe and effective learning environment for all before during and after school hours as directed. Provides seamless efficient high quality and always Christ-centered student family and employee service/care in all areas of MVC and to our entire community.
Essential Job Duties
- Works to maintain the safety and security of the campus
- Supervise students and physical campus areas per the direction of the Dean of Students.
- Greet and engage with visitors
- Establish rapport with faculty and students in order to gain their trust and confidence
- Implement/actuate/enforce the MVC Parent/Student Handbook.
- Actively support and participate in the development of the spiritual growth of those on our team and in our community.
- Other duties projects tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Preferred Qualifications
Any combination of education and/or relevant professional experience providing the necessary and required skill(s)/knowledge for successful job performance is acceptable:
- Education: must have a High School diploma or equivalent and preferably a Bachelors (or advanced) degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Consistency in character and enjoys working with others.
- Warmth flexibility initiative strong work ethic and respect for self and others.
- Student-centered disposition in communication with all people.
- Demonstrates leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to hold students accountable for their words and actions in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required every 2 years
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to operate relevant office equipment.
- Ability to sit walk stand bend and/or squat for prolonged periods of time.
- Work outside and inside over multiple terrains and in varying weather conditions as needed.
