Purpose
Leads and oversees Standards & Solutions group in Canada and Colombia ensuring business strategies plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you In this role you will:
Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships systems and knowledge.
Manages a team of 15 employees with a portfolio that includes the upkeep of workstation and software standards as well as currency and print support
Use a proactive approach to troubleshoot workstation production issues understanding reasons for failure in our complex environment
Work with global business line and IT contacts to deliver a superior technology experience
Current with IT best practices and leverage automation opportunities wherever possible
Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational compliance AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts retains develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Manages workload for 15 full-time and contract employees
Adept at managing multiple initiatives concurrently
Accountable for the currency of 3 systems
University Or College degree
ITIL Certification
10 years IT experience
5 years People Management experience
Spanish language fluency is an asset
