Job Description


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Integrate and install the body electrical system with the existing chassis platform.
  • Follow company processes and methods to locate route and secure wiring and other electrical componentry.
  • Install various electrical components and test their functionality.
  • Ability to trouble shoot a variety of systems and components as needed to test and ensure desired functionality.
  • Work with 12 and 24V DC systems.
  • Complete installation of equipment in a professional manner which mirrors the fit and finish of the OEM chassis.
  • Complete all tasks in a professional and timely manner which meets all quality and company standards.
  • Use of diagnostic tools such as a volt/amp meter to validate and troubleshoot.
  • Use of various hand tools required.
  • Keep the work area clean and maintained per safety and company standards.
  • Operate all tools and equipment safely adhering to company safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical school or post-secondary school training a plus.
  • Knowledge of Class 8 truck and similar chassis electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge and programming capabilities of chassis systems such as J1939 and CANBUS a plus.
  • 1-3 years of work experience as an automotive or truck electrical technician.
  • Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision.
