Job Description
Position:6th-12thScience or History Summer School Teacher (Part-Time @ Eaton County Youth Facility)
Summary: This Teacher position creates and sustains a community of learners through the development of a positive classroom and school culture by holding rigorous and high expectations for students and by utilizing instructional practices matched to student learning needs. This position is not apart of the Teacher Master Agreement.
Reports to:Building Principal
Schedule -
Starts Monday June 16thand ends Friday August 8th.
Classes are 850am-12p M-F.
Only exception is holidays no school June 19th July 3rdand July 4th.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelors or higher degree.
- Valid Michigan teachers certificate for grades 6th 12th
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally life and/or move up to 35 pounds such as books and teaching material.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
