High School Associate Principal
The Environmental Charter School is seeking highly dedicated and experienced High School Associate Principal. The Environmental Charter school has a mission grounded in environmental education sustainability and social justice. We are seeking a visionary community-centered Associate Principal to join our high school leadership team. Successful candidates must be progressive minded and embody a can-do spirit and work ethic. For best consideration candidates should have at least 3 years of teaching experience a principals certification a demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing strategies to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning needs and a whatever it takes attitude to ensure that all students succeed at a high level.

POSITION OVERVIEW The Associate Principal plays a vital role in supporting the schools academic excellence equity-driven culture and environmental mission. In this senior leadership position you will collaborate with the Principal to guide instruction mentor school leaders and cultivate strong relationships with families and community partners to ensure that all students thrive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Mission-Aligned Leadership - Model and promote a values-driven collaborative organizational culture where students and staff are valued for their contributions and supported in their development
- Support the advancement of the schools environmental education vision and urban sustainability focus.
- Promote interdisciplinary project-based learning that connects students to their communities and the natural built and social environment.
- Work with the Principal and all staff to ensure that environmental justice civic engagement and community stewardship are woven into the schools academic and extracurricular programs
Community & Family Engagement - Build authentic trust-based relationships with families community organizations and local environmental partners.
- Serve as a support to external partners and initiatives that provide experiential learning internships service projects and environmental programming.
- Assist in organizing and participating in community events public forums and service learning opportunities that reflect the schools mission and student voice.
Instructional Leadership - Serve as a coach and mentor to teachers related to their instructional goals to foster a culture of growth and innovation with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Promote and support inquiry-based experiential and outdoor learning that aligns with environmental themes and academic standards.
- Assist teachers to use data to monitor achievement and equity and support strategies to close opportunity gaps.
Student Culture & Support - Foster a safe inclusive school climate that supports students academic and social-emotional development.
- Oversee or support student discipline systems with a focus on restorative practice and equity.
- Collaborate with the principal counselors advisors and student support teams to ensure every student is seen supported and challenged.
Operational Leadership - Assist in managing daily school operations including scheduling resource allocation staffing and compliance.
- Provide leadership and support in the supervision and evaluation of instructional staff and other personnel as assigned.
- Lead and/or support key school-wide initiatives.
Educational Background and Work Experience - Bachelors degree from an accredited institution Masters degree preferred
- Principal certification
- Minimum of 3-5 years teaching and/or educational leadership experience
- Familiarity with charter schools and 9-12 students
- Experience leading adults as a principal head of school or other educational leadership position
Compensation and Benefits - Minimum starting salary of $77759 with consideration given for prior relevant experience
