Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Tendering & Engineering Specialist specialized in tendering and preconstruction activities for MEP projects. The role involves reviewing tender packages preparing competitive offers conducting supplier outreach and value engineering of mechanical systems including HVAC plumbing and firefighting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze mechanical BOQs specs and drawings for tender preparation.
- Develop accurate cost estimates and technical proposals.
- Prepare prequalification and technical submission documents.
- Contact suppliers for quotations and technical validations.
- Propose alternative materials and methods to optimize cost/performance.
- Use AutoCAD to extract quantities and assess layouts.
- Coordinate with the electrical team for MEP integration.
- Ensure tender compliance and support negotiation phase.
- Prepare material submittals.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in MEP tendering and engineering.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Excel Word and estimation software.
- Strong analytical skills in reading drawings specs and contracts.
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
- Strong negotiation time management and technical reporting skills.
