Position Description:
- Analyze ETL jobs and the data feeds and make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain documentation for job processes and update as needed.
- Monitor troubleshoot and resolve job failures.
- Develop code to create new client-server jobs as part of application modernization effort.
- Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process.
- Provide guidance/support to other junior/mid-level developers.
- Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions processes standards or operational plans that position Client competitively in the marketplace.
- All other duties as assigned or directed.
Key Required Skills:
Strong working knowledge of COBOL JCL ETL Linux Scripting and of DB2 and Oracle databases.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or a related field.
- Bachelors Degree with 7 years of experience
- Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience
- 10 years of experience with Web component development using modern JavaScript CSS and CSS preprocessors such as SASS and LESS ES 6 and .
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
Required Skills
These skills will help you succeed in this position:
- Understanding the db2 data models and JCL Programs.
- In depth understanding and experience with mainframe databases and backend applications that connect to the mainframe.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting daily production jobs and job failures.
- Proficient in writing Linux scripts for ETL.
- Excellent communication and written skills
