Responsibilities

CHI St. Alexius Urgent Care Clinic is looking for a Full Time Clinic RN Supervisor to join the team!

The Urgent Care Clinical Supervisor assists in managing supervising and administering the patient/nurse services within the Clinic. The Clinical Supervisor plays a key role in the delivery of patient care. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the nursing components of the Clinic and has specific responsibilities that must be completed on a daily basis. The daily completion of responsibilities is central to the continued success in the delivery of patient care and is expected to exercise accuracy and efficiency while providing clinical care and in documenting all patient encounters. The Clinical Supervisor will practice nursing in accordance with the North Dakota Practice Act.

What Youll Do:

1. Act as a role model through support of the Medical Centers mission vision and values by promoting and enhancing expectations.

2. Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.

3. Assures quality of care by establishing clinic and nursing divisions standards of care; enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; recommending adjustments.

4. Collaborates with leadership to maintain staff by recruiting and selecting nurses while overseeing the orientation process

5. Maintains nursing staff job results by coaching counseling and disciplining employees; planning monitoring and appraising job results.

6. Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements while ensuring adequate staffing and training to allow efficient clinic operations.

7. Develops and implements educational programs/opportunities for staff; responds to ever-changing technology while educating and training on new technology.

8. Develops and adjusts daily work schedule to ensure all areas are adequately staffed. Works in all areas of the clinic filling in for absences assisting the nursing staff as needed.

9. Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum of 1 year experience in the discipline OR 3 years experience in thediscipline OR Masters Degree and no experience
  • Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or compactstate. BSN
  • CPR certified within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required.
    ACLS optional
  • 2 years clinical nursing experience; preferably in a clinic or outpatientambulatory care environment.
