Job Title: Clinical Fellow Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Gambrills Maryland

About Us:

Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow seeking a dynamic and collaborative work environment Strides Therapy & Educational Services is a well established interdisciplinary private practice that specializes in providing comprehensive speech and language services to individuals of all ages. Our team consists of Speech Language Pathologists Speech Language Pathology Assistants Occupational Therapists and Special Educators. We are currently seeking a Clinical Fellow Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high quality evidence based care. Feeding Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or AAC experience preferred but not required.

The candidate must be available to work after school hours. A typical weeks schedule will include working 3 days from 10-7 and two days from 8-5 with one of the earlier days on Friday. Every day includes an hour lunch break. CFYs can choose to be scheduled up to either 75% or 81% productivity at max capacity. Given our average cancellation rate typical productivity would be about 68% to 73%. Unproductive time and canceled sessions will be available for therapists to complete other job duties.

  • Day to day tasks: complete formal and evaluations develop plans of care plan and conduct therapy complete progress reports complete discharge summaries educate family and caregivers communicate with families and team members as needed collaborate with our/clients multidisciplinary team cleaning/sanitizing of used materials keeping workspace tidy
  • Soft skills: strong interpersonal skills detail oriented organized self starter compassionate creative confident

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Maryland state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Working toward ASHA certification through the Clinical Fellowship Year
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus.
  • Dedication to providing culturally competent and client-centered care.
