The Alliance Health Project (AHP) is a division of the UCSF Department of Psychiatry at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG). Were hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) interested in serving people living with complex trauma minority stress dual diagnoses primary substance use disorders and severe mental illness. This is an opportunity that allows for hybrid work (remote and on site work) with the use of HIPAA compliant telehealth tools and resources provided by UCSF. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner selected will join a skilled and collegial mental health team at two of AHPs clinical sites.
Clinical time is split between thet AHP Services Center on 1930 Market St San Francisco and at Positive Health Practice (Ward 86) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General. In the AHP Services Center role the PMHNP will serve as a clinician working within a team consisting of mission-driven case managers therapists peer counselors and experts in sexual health and substance use disorders. The PMHNP will provide clinical assessment psychopharmacological treatment and appropriate disposition for a caseload of patients with supervision provided by AHPs Medical Director along with guidance provided by clinical leaders within the organization.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).

UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.

The Alliance Health Project (AHP) is a community-based LGBTQ and HIV-focused clinic located at 1930 Market Street in San Francisco. We provide psychotherapy substance use counseling case management support groups psychiatry sexual health services clinical traineeship and provider education and training. Our multi-disciplinary staff are a client-centered collaborative Harm Reduction-oriented team. We have continued to grow as a community-based clinic by anticipating and addressing the changing needs of our LGBTQ and HIV community members for more than 40 years.
