Overview
Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Chandler the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 338-bed not-for-profit hospital with more than 2500 employees and almost 1000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999 but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center a Heart and Vascular Center a Wound Healing Center a Family Birth Center and many additional services. During the fiscal year ending June 30 2016 Chandler Regional provided more than $48 million in community benefit. As a result of Dignity Healths mission to deliver health care and partner with the community nearly 100000 people in the East Valley were reached through community health services. - Gathers complete history of patients and perform complete physical examinations or focused physical examinations for specific complaints. Completes discharge summaries and maintains documentation on patient visits
- Conducts daily patient rounds as needed
- Recognizes and evaluates situations which require immediate attention of supervising physician and which requiretreatment procedures essential for life of patients; responds in appropriate manner.
- Coordinates with supervising physician
- Follows up with patient by phone (post treatment). Coordinates resources to facilitate care for out-of-town patients
- Prescribes and dispenses drugs
- Monitors effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and makes appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Secures patient health illness and psychological history by ordering performing and interpreting appropriate laboratory radiographic and other diagnostic tests.
- Consults and collaborates with other members of the health care team in the assessment and management of health care problems.
Qualifications
MINIMUM
Minimum 3 years clinical experience in related area
Background in pre-med. Degree as a Physician Assistant
PA-C
DEA:AZ
American Heart Association ACLS
American Heart Association BLS- CPR
AZ state Physician Assistant License; PA:AZ
NCCPA certification;
Credentialed as allied health professional with CRMC and MGMC required.
