Purpose:
Lead coach and develop the sales team across country to maximize short and long-term sales performance while managing the supply/demand successfully to ensure flawless patient/customer experience. This role places the patient at the center of all efforts and operates within AbbVies business code of conduct policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities:
Sales Delivery & Performance:
- Achieve or surpass sales performance and Brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in alignment with the national sales strategy while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Lead financial and demand planning cycles to guarantee an uninterrupted supply of products to patients.
People Leadership:
- Drive team success by effectively leading developing and coaching the in-field team. This involves establishing clear sales targets skillfully managing Sales Force Management Systems and actively monitoring KPIs to foster continuous improvement and achieve outstanding sales outcomes. Focus on empowering team members to excel and contribute to a culture of high performance and resource optimization.
- Inspire and motivate the Sales Team by ensuring they receive regular updates and training on medical technical and specialized in-field knowledge. Emphasize the importance of continuous learning and development encouraging team members to expand their expertise and remain at the forefront of industry advancements. By fostering an environment that prioritizes growth you can empower team members to reach their full potential. Offer personalized coaching and mentorship catering to individual strengths and areas for improvement to cultivate a team of highly skilled and motivated professionals dedicated to achieving excellence.
Account Plan and Brand Strategy:
- Lead the strategic oversight and consolidation of account plan results to effectively support and enhance the brand planning process ensuring alignment with evolving market needs and changes. Utilize insights gained from account plans to contribute to the solid execution of brand plans optimizing strategic momentum and driving brand success.
- Employ adaptive strategies that anticipate industry trends and customer demands enabling proactive adjustments to brand objectives and tactics. By integrating comprehensive account analyses empower the team to implement refined brand strategies that resonate with stakeholders ensuring continuous growth and achievement in a dynamic market landscape.
Customer and Cross-Functional Team Management:
- Align national priorities activities and engagement plans with brand strategy to maximize strategic drive and brand success.
- Proactively address the needs expectations and challenges of key stakeholders to build trusted partnerships and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Influence key stakeholders as assigned by Brand Teams to enhance brand performance.
- Build and maintain cross-functional collaboration between stakeholders establish effective multidisciplinary in-field teams and ensure timely high-quality market intelligence is shared with brand and in-field teams to enhance brand strategy and execution.
Qualifications :
- A min. bachelors degree in marketing Business Administration Life Sciences or a related field is required.
- Successful leadership experience in Marketing or other commercial fields (ex: Market Access) within the Oncology/Hematology field preferred.
- Significant experience in oncology market is highly recommended.
- Proven track record in relevant roles as a Sales Manager or a similar position within the biotech/pharma industry.
- Established knowledge of the territory and relationships with key stakeholders.
- English and local language proficiency both verbally and in writing.

- Ability to build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other relevant stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills including the ability to manage and coach teams or individuals effectively as well as talent development and performance management.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities including work plans activities timetables and targeting with a focus on execution excellence.
- Ability to operate lead and facilitate effectively within a matrix organization/environment.
