Job Description
P3-C3-STSJDTask and ResponsibilitiesDatabase Support Provide support and administration for MS SQL Server databases and Cloud databases. Troubleshoot and resolve database related issues and incidents including performance problems connectivity errors and data Performance Tuning Monitor and optimize database performance by analyzing query execution plans index usage database statistics and other performance indicators. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues to ensure optimal database response Security Implement and enforce security measures to protect the organization databases from unauthorized access data breaches and data loss. Configure user access permissions roles and privileges based on the principle of least Backup and Recovery Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of the organizations data. Perform regular backups test restore procedures and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and Monitoring and Maintenance Monitor database health availability and capacity to proactively identify and resolve potential issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as database reorganization index rebuilding and database statistics Documentation Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations schemas procedures and processes. Document database changes and update data dictionaries to ensure accuracy and clarity of database-related Upgrades and Patching Plan and execute database software upgrades and apply patches to ensure database systems are up to date with the latest security fixes and performance enhancements. Coordinate with system administrators and vendors for a smooth upgrade 5 plus years experience as Database Administrator. Bachelors or masters degree in computer science information technology or a related field. Experience with Azure industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator etc. is a written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and communicate technical information to non technical skillsStrong expertise in MS SQL Server database administration including performance tuning security and backup and in cloud based database technologies such as Microsoft Azure SQL Database Microsoft Azure SQL Managed Instance and Cosmos DB including deployment configuration and performance with Oracle database administration including installation configuration performance tuning and backup and recovery is a understanding of database concepts SQL and query optimization of database security principles and best with database monitoring tools and performance problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database documentation and communication SkillsMS SQL Server database administrationMicrosoft Azure SQL Managed Instance Cosmos DB
