You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Sr. Manager Strategy and Operations play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the Visa Canada business and works hands-on with business functions generalist and specialist sellers to drive sales excellence business planning strategic initiatives and operational oversight.
The role is highly visible across the market and will have broad reach into a variety of teams within Canada. This individual will be integral in enhancing the efficiency and productivity of our Account Executives (AEs) by streamlining sales operations and freeing up capacity for revenue-generating activities. The ideal candidate must have the ability to gain deep subject matter depth on a multitude of topics on short notice and be skilled at the synthesis of multiple sources of information (qualitative and quantitative) to create real and actionable insights identify operational improvement opportunities and implement scalable processes and tools to increase capacity for front-line sales teams. He or she must stay in front of latest trends within payments and be able to develop an independent point of view on topics in the face of uncertainty and imperfect information.
The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying white space opportunities building compelling presentations collaborating with diverse teams and offering targeted support on various sales-related activities.
This role reports to the Sr. Director Strategy and Operations.
The position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems identify operational improvement opportunities and quickly arrive at recommendations and support with implementation to drive corporate priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Excellence:
Building a thorough understanding of sales workflows and identifying areas for process improvement
Developing and implementing streamlined processes for sales planning execution incentive management pricing change repository compliance tracking and regulatory requests to enhance account executive efficiency.
Providing support for RFPs renewals account planning event logistics and adhoc items to ensure account executives can focus on strategic client engagement and revenue growth.
Collaborating with leadership to build a comprehensive market-specific sales strategy and facilitate the execution of initiatives
Working with client teams as required to support with network partnership management
Strategic Projects:
Leading strategic projects (design and execution) or major workstreams including day to day project management and leading team activities to meet goals and timelines
Partnering with stakeholders in other functional areas (e.g. products sales marketing risk) and across global regional teams to execute projects
Driving rigorous fact based quantitative analysis to support recommendations and ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations
Developing clear and concise communication including internal and external presentation decks for relevant strategic topics
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Experience working in or with banking and payments industry
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar role preferably within the sales or marketing industry.
Demonstrated ability to define corporate and business strategy with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies
Excellent analytical skill set with an ability to think strategically challenge the status quo and provide recommendations
Excellent project management skills given that this role involves managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to comprehend and convey complex analytics and technical information
Have an entrepreneurial approach and vision. Proactive self starter seeking initiatives to advance
Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop as a professional high levels of integrity and business ethics
Team oriented collaborative diplomatic and flexible able to work effectively in matrixed organization.
