Aerodrome Management Services (AMS) is a professional services company providing a wide range of technical support and aerodrome management services to aerodrome owners and operators across Australia. Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design project management and construction maintenance technical inspections and aerodrome surveys operational readiness airport security training regulatory compliance audits and ongoing daily operations.
About the role
At Aerodrome Management Services (AMS) were not just managing airportswere building the future of aviation infrastructure across Australia. As AMS continues to expand its operations and enhance its service offerings we are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor for a 46 month contract to support the delivery of a critical scope of work. With safety as a core value of AMS this role is pivotal in promoting and upholding a strong safety culture across the organization ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all personnel.
Your Impact
Collaborate with senior leaders to embed proactive risk-aware safety behaviours
Promote a strong safety culture aligned with the organisations Code of Conduct
Conduct detailed risk assessments across HSEQ hazards including psychosocial risks
Assist in developing and implementing controls and initiatives to support a safer more inclusive workplace
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and CASA regulations
Support the development and improvement of key safety frameworks (e.g. Fatigue Management Incident Management Airside Safety)
Coordinate reviews and update policies to meet both regulatory and organisational standards
Lead incident investigations and support effective root cause analysis
Guide teams in hazard and event reporting using the OneReg system
Monitor injury and event reporting to ensure accuracy and timely resolution
Contribute to client forums risk workshops and internal assessments
Raise awareness of psychosocial risk management through education and coaching
What You Bring:
Proven experience and capability in HSE ideally within aviation or infrastructure sectors.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence at all levels.
High-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience with hazard identification risk assessments and safety systems.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and required certifications (ASIC Police Clearance Drivers License).

Required Qualifications and Previous Experience:
AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career but youll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in the following areas:
Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
Have previous extensive experience in a HSE leadership role
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships
Experience leading and coaching the investigation of significant incidents
Strong risk management and corporate governance experience
Demonstrated and Working knowledge of relevant safety legislation and policy
Ability to provide a National Police Clearance
Hold a current C class drivers licence
