Job Description
Job Overview:
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for conforming intumescent expandable material. The operator must properly set the correct machine parameters to ensure the resulting product is the proper shape thickness and size. The material will be placed into trays measuring 15-84 feet for storage. Product examination and dimensional measurements will be obtained during the process to ensure quality conformance. This is an on-site hourly position. Additional work hours will be assigned during peak times and year-end.

Key Responsibilities:
- Follows all company-established rules and policies; adheres to all safety rules quality standards process documentation and regulations.
- Observes all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
- Accountable for process evaluation measurement documentation and continual improvement to meet plant business objectives.
- Utilizes measuring instruments caliper and tape measurement with precision and safety.
- Assists in inspecting and measuring completed pieces to verify conformity with customer production standards.
- Meets the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift.
- Makes machine adjustments according to process documentation to minimize interruptions ensure the quality of the product and ensure efficient operation of equipment.
- Performs other related duties as directed by the appropriate party including but not limited to assisting other employees in the performance of their jobs
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent or 12 months experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment in lieu of education.
- Able to work 8 -12-hour shifts standing.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Available to work any shift and/or overtime as needed.
Skills and Competencies:
- Able to collaborate in a team setting.
- Basic computer skills to function in job role.
- Able to operate and maintain equipment in alignment with safety standards.
- Able to read Material Safety Data Sheets as well as raw material and finished goods container labels.
- Able to understand directives take ownership and ensure the follow-through of directives as planned.
- Basic math skills to function in the role.
- Willingness to comply and support safety standards.
Preferred Experience:
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes environment or equipment.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

RectorSeal has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.
