Job Description

Job Overview:

The responsibility of this role is to efficiently box and palletize finished products to prepare them for shipment. Products need to be properly packed labeled and organized to meet quality standards and shipping deadlines. This is a key role in maintaining smooth production flow and ensuring products are safely transported. This is an on-site hourly position and the regular weekly work schedule is 7 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Additional work hours will be assigned during peak times and year-end.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Boxing:
    • Manually place products into boxes according to order specifications ensuring proper padding sealing and labeling.
    • Ensure each box meets quality standards (e.g. no damage to products correct quantity correct pallet placement accurate labeling).
    • Operate pallet jacks and industrial pneumatic staplers.
  • Palletizing:
    • Stack and arrange finished boxes on pallets following predetermined patterns for maximum efficiency and stability.
    • Secure pallets using stretch wrap shrink wrap or straps to prevent product movement during shipping.
    • Ensure pallets are correctly labeled with product and shipping information.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect finished products for defects ensuring they meet quality standards before boxing and palletizing.
    • Report any issues with products packaging or equipment to supervisors.
  • Safety:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required (e.g. gloves safety glasses).

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 45 lbs. or more) on a regular basis.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic math skills for counting measuring and labeling.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced physically demanding environment.
  • Team player with good communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Frequent lifting bending and reaching.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (temperature fluctuations may occur).
  • Boxes may be heavy and require significant lifting and maneuvering.

Work Environment:Assemblers typically work in a non-climate-controlled production environment which may involve exposure to noise machinery forklifts and various manufacturing materials.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. The employee must regularly sit stand walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation:

RectorSeal has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The hiring range for this hourly position is:$14 - $15/hr.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors.
