Job Description

At Jones Family of Dealerships we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and support to our customers and team members. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focusedAutomotive Parts Inventory Specialistto join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic environment and is passionate about the automotive industry.

The Automotive Parts Inventory Specialist plays a key role in supporting both our service department and retail customers. This position combines the responsibilities of a parts counter person with some inventory management and shipping/receiving duties. Youll be the go-to person for technicians and customers needing parts while also ensuring our inventory is accurate organized and efficiently managed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers and technicians in identifying and locating the correct automotive parts.
  • Process parts orders returns and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
  • Receive inspect and stock incoming parts shipments.
  • Organize and maintain parts storage areas for optimal accessibility and cleanliness
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with counts and stock replenishment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and delivery personnel for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts transactions and inventory adjustments.
  • Support the service department with timely parts delivery and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Previous experience in an automotive parts or inventory role is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move parts and packages up to 50 lbs. is required.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills is needed.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
