Job Description
Monday thru Friday; 40 hours week
- Perform a variety of duties required to operate machines and maintain the work area in a neat orderly and clean condition.
- Stocking the machines and removal of finished parts.
- Performing specified quality assurance operations. This includes use of various measuring instruments and gages.
- Assuring that all parts moved from machines are correctly identified as to lot number count and conformance to specifications of blue prints gauges and function.
- Maintaining lubricants and coolants for each assigned machine.
- Assisting in the continued function of all scheduled machines when other Operators are on break or engaged in repair of machines.
- Remove or install tooling covers etc. under supervision of Toolsetters.
- Leave machine well stocked for following shift.
- Report any problems difficulties or unusual circumstances to the Toolmaker Toolsetter or Plant Manager.
- Maintain quality production and machine maintenance records as required
- Read and understand required SOPs.
