Viticulture Technician

Position Summary

TheWine Technician will support the day to day activities pertaining to wineryoperations.

Overview of Responsibilities

Winery & Equipment Maintenance:

Responsible formaintaining cellar sanitation to CW requirements with daily weekly andmonthly sanitation of kegs tanks fittings pumps hoses etc.

Must have previousexperience using tri-clover stainless steel fittings hoses and pumps in awinery or brewery setting

Winemaking:

Communicateto local winemaker any concern about wine presenting a fault (VA Brett.)

Responsiblefor working 6 days per week during harvest (September through November). Dayoff may be on a weekday

Assist in ensuring allfull barrels are topped on proper schedule and all empty barrels are maintainedcorrectly (VA check monthly sulfite water soaking before filling)

Responsible for kegging CW wines for additional locations to meet high volume demand

Wine Delivery:

Responsible for drivingCW truck to deliver CW wine and supplies to the CW locations several days perweek

CWTap system retail tap account and offsite tap set up:

Responsible for ensuringall CW tap lines (including Barrel on wheel) are cleaned on bi-weeklybasis
Cellar Technician willsign contract concerning CW tap system and Barrel on wheel BOW system
With the winemaking team oversee and maintain tap system includingcleaning and repairs
Adhere to CW safetypractices pertaining to CW tap system and tri-clover keg management
Weekly cleaning of theempty kegs filling of keg when needed
In addition this roleis expected to support other reasonably assigned duties tasks projects asper business need

Minimum Qualifications

Must haveminimum 1 years of hands-on wine production experience and/or equivalentrelevant experience

Professionaland effective communication skills

DrivingLicense and Clean DMV Record

Superior organization skills and attention to detail

Flexible and able to work independently as well as collaborativelywith a team

Ability to perform physical requirements of position includingstanding for extended periods of time kneeling stooping using stairs ableto lift carry push pull weights of at least 50 lbs.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidaysas needed. Must be able to work 6 days per week during Harvest season andhigh-volume seasons (spring & summer festival)
