The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA) is seeking a highly qualified individual with a strong background in the Illinois Leaking Underground Storage Tank section regulations Administrative Code Part 731 and 734 regulations and Environmental Protection Act to serve as Manager of the Leaking Underground Storage Tank Special Projects and Financial Unit. The successful candidate will plan and direct the State-wide activities of the Illinois EPAs LUST program and Financial Unit consisting of technical and administrative support staff. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations set priorities for their units ensure site remediation is completed in accordance with regulations and ensure project reviews are completed within regulatory timeframes.

The IEPA does not provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status). To be considered for permanent IEPA employment applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Revolving Door:Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position. As a result the employee should be aware that if offered non-State employment during State employment or within one year immediately after ending State employment the employee shall prior to accepting any such non-State employment offer notify the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor (OEIG) or may be subject to a fine.

Term Appointment: Candidates hired into a term position shall be appointed for a term of 4 years and are subject to a probationary period. The term may be renewed for successive four-year terms at the Director of the Environmental Protection Agencys discretion.
