Position Overview
As a Personal Lines CSR you will be the trusted advisor for clients home and auto insurance needs. You will provide exceptional service by handling inquiries processing transactions assisting with claims and advising on coverage and policy enhancements. You will also contribute to the teams growth through account rounding and client retention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service
Respond promptly to incoming client calls and emailswithin 2 hours
Greet and assist walk-in clients without delay
Report claims promptly and follow up with adjusters and insureds to ensure satisfaction
Monitor and support ongoing claim files especially complex cases
Review and explain coverage policy limits and insurance products to clients
Resolve billing premium and account discrepancies
Receive and process payments; follow up on aged receivables
Maintain professionalism in handling complaints and resolving conflicts
Communicate effectively while respecting privacy regulations
Sales & Account Development
Identify opportunities to up-sell coverage to meet client needs
Round out accounts with additional personal lines products
Drive new business through client referrals
Administrative & Technical
Accurately maintain client information in Powerbroker
Stay current with insurer updates and guidelines by reviewing correspondence and online manuals
Navigate insurance company portals and use rating software efficiently
Qualifications
Education & Certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Active RIBO license (Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario)
Experience
Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Personal Lines CSR
Technical Skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
Experience with Powerbroker and ARS
Ability to navigate insurer portals; Excel skills are an asset
