You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Director of AI Safety and Compliance for AI Studio at Marriott is a pivotal role that ensures the safety security privacy and ethics of all AI solutions developed within AI Studio. This role involves collaborating closely with leaders across information security data governance legal and privacy teams to develop and implement robust processes and technologies. They will spearhead the responsible AI strategy for the enterprise in partnership with the VP of AI Studio and will lead teams to hands-on evaluate new technologies and the data they employ to drive rapid go/no-go governance decisions on AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead responsible and safe AI strategy for the enterprise in partnership with the VP of AI Studio VP of Privacy in the Law department and leaders of the Information Security team.
Develop implement and maintain workflows and technologies that ensure the safety security privacy and ethics of AI solutions at-speed.
Work with colleagues across Global Technology and Legal to develop and maintain clear requirements for safety security and privacy that product teams can execute against.
Conduct hands-on evaluations of new technologies and the data they employ ensuring rapid go/no-go decisions on new AI solutions.
Develop methods of measuring and reporting on the safety security and privacy of AI solutions. Drive continuous improvements on the same.
Drive initiatives through AI governance processes.
Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in AI safety security privacy and ethics.
Provide thought leadership and guidance on AI safety and compliance to stakeholders and team members.
Qualifications
Masters degree or higher in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Cybersecurity or a related field.
8 years of experience in AI development and/or testing information security data privacy or a related field.
Extensive knowledge of AI technologies machine learning algorithms and their applications.
Proven track record of managing and mitigating risks associated with AI systems and solutions.
Working understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements related to AI data privacy and cybersecurity.
Experience in developing and implementing safety protocols and governance processes for AI systems.
Ability to conduct thorough evaluations of AI technologies and their impact on safety security and privacy.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment.
Proven ability to turn ambiguity into clarity through actionable next steps and decisions.
A deep commitment to ethical AI development.
A healthy level of impatience for inefficient processes with a constant drive to respectfully ask why and collaborate with others to improve them.
The pay range for this position is $56.58 to $91.83 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
