Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Quality Inspector required to join a leading and growing Engineering product manufacturer and solutions provider based in Canastota NY.
Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring dimensional precision compliance with engineering standards and quality documentation for complex machined components within a low-volume high-mix manufacturing environment.
Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Quality Inspector will ideally have experience operating Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software performing root cause investigations and contributing to continuous improvement in a quality-driven industrial engineering setting.

Quality Manager / Quality Lead / Lead Quality Engineer Role
Program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software to perform detailed inspections of complex machined parts.
Carry out first article in-process and final inspections aligned with GD&T and engineering drawings.
Maintain clear and accurate inspection records traceability logs and nonconformance reports.
Support or conduct non-destructive testing (PT MT UT) if certified.
Collaborate with machinists production engineers and quality teams to resolve quality issues and non conformances.
Participate in root cause analysis corrective action and continuous improvement projects.
Assist with the development and updating of inspection procedures and quality documentation.
Report into the Director of Quality with close collaboration with operations leadership.
Based onsite in Canastota NY with occasional travel to vendors or other facilities.
Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Quality Inspector Requirements
35 years experience in quality inspection or engineering within a precision machining or industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong hands-on experience operating and programming Zeiss CMMs with Calypso software is essential.
Solid understanding of GD&T and mechanical drawing interpretation.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems and audit processes.
Experience or certifications in NDT (PT MT or UT) preferred.
Exposure to challenging materials such as Inconel Titanium or aerofoil components is a bonus.
Strong communication documentation and problem-solving abilities.
U.S. work authorization required; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs as part of shop-floor duties.
