Join the power movement as a Commissioning Manager
The Commissioning Manager is responsible for collaboratively developing driving and owning large systems of SPARC Commissioning activities through First Plasma. They will directly supervise technician groups as well as work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers in support of critical company milestones. They will participate as a strategic partner in Commissioning team projects helping align department goals and objectives to larger company goals. They will work collaboratively with manufacturing procurement assembly and other SPARC teams to achieve these goalsdirectly responsible for the execution of SPARC assembly in-situ testing initiatives.
What youll do:
Primarily responsible for the preparation execution and administration of SPARC assembly test initiatives
Responsibilities entail personnel training equipment and material procurement service contracts test readiness reviews permit-to-work simultaneous operations work authorization & stoppage coordination of issue submittal resolution (non-conformance or troubleshooting) execution tracking broad progress communication test report issuance and proper hand-offs with cross-functional teams
Function as strategic partner for the commissioning team utilizing system expertise and understanding of the team leadership and good judgment in ensuring alignment with broader company goals
Interact with work groups within and outside of CFS to ensure that commissioning team philosophy and CFS vision is clearly communicated and fully understood. Provide mentorship and guidance as appropriate
Proactively identify issues and ensure accurate submission to the commissioning management system. Drive issues to successful conclusions including providing necessary training to involved parties
Ensure completion of all Commissioning documentation in an accurate and timely fashion. Collaborate with CFS work groups and outside vendors to assemble and collate documentation
Develop and complete Test Reports specific to components in assigned systems and ensure accurate submission to the Commissioning Management System
Function as mentor and coach to field leads and technicians providing training and support as needed
Adhere to the highest standards of safety and ensure that activities taking place under her or his oversight are being performed in strict accordance with CFS safety policies and applicable regulatory safety standards
Collaborate with CFS EHSS and CFS engineering teams to proactively identify risks and align mitigation requirements for all activities. Participate in Risk Assessment activities and Root Cause Analysis as necessary
What were looking for:
BS in Engineering or related field
10 years of Commissioning (similar and cross functional experience in operations or maintenance is acceptable)
Mechanical Electrical and Instrumentation Commissioning Experience
OSHA 10
NFPA 70E
Bonus points for:
High proficiency Google documents BlueBeam or Acrobat and 3D modeling programs
Must-have requirements:
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Perform activities such as stooping climbing typing standing or sitting for extended periods of time
Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat cold noise fumes strong magnets lead (Pb) high voltage high current pressure systems and cryogenics
Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
$150000 - $250000 a year
