Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS)
Contract Type: Inside IR35 (Initial 3 Months)
Location: Predominantly Remote with ad-hoc visits to Bristol (>once per month)
Expenses: Travel costs will not be expensed
We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead technical initiatives in migrating services from on-prem to AWS. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can tackle complex challenges while mentoring teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide teams through AWS cloud migrations from on-prem systems
- Provide technical leadership ensuring best practices in cloud architecture and automation
- Work with Puppet Terraform GitLab and GitHub to implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions
- Solve complex technical challenges and mentor engineers in DevOps methodologies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth migration and integration of services
Skills & Experience:
- Extensive AWS cloud experience with a deep understanding of infrastructure migrations
- Strong expertise in Puppet Terraform GitLab and GitHub
- Proven ability to lead teams and provide technical mentorship
- Ability to work independently while guiding strategic initiatives
- AWS Certification is desirable
