Deliver expert paediatric physio care supporting childrens development in a collaborative rural health team in Tamworth.

Remuneration:
$61.36 - $62.84
per hour superannuation salary packaging

About the role:

This role will see you provide comprehensive and evidence based paediatric physiotherapy services to children with typical development problems including developmental delay musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

You will be based within the Tamworth Child and Family Allied Health team which forms part of a broader Allied Health team that provides support and a range of professional development opportunities.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing in reach to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital special care nursery and maternity ward to infants with developmental issues.
  • Supporting transition of clients from the health service to NDIS and other disability services where appropriate.
  • Planning implementing evaluating and reporting on services to promote effectiveness and efficiency of clinical service delivery.

This position sits within the Child and Family Allied Health Team at Tamworth Community Health Service. The Child and Family Allied Health team is a large multidisciplinary team providing clinical services to children aged 0-17 years of age in Tamworth and surrounding a positive tight-knit team that values connection and collaboration. We celebrate birthdays participate in community events and support one another through regular supervision and informal catch-ups. Theres a genuine sense of camaraderie that extends beyond the day-to-day work.

You will work in partnership with other physiotherapists and professionals including but not exclusive to occupational therapists Paediatricians Aboriginal Health Workers and child and family nurses.You will be supported clinically by the Northern Profession Lead for physiotherapy and engage in monthly clinical supervision.

About you:

We are looking for someone whois passionate about child development and approaches client care through a holistic framework. You will demonstrate a strong work ethic excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Additionally you will bring valuable experience in delivering culturally responsive services ensuring inclusive and respectful support for diverse communities.

Requirements:

  • Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
